Historic Hudson River

Fishing in the Wallkill River

In addition to the (catch and release) fishing pond located on the KOA Campground (no license required), there is great fishing at Wallkill River, located only ten miles faway. (New York State license required.)

Antique Stores

There are very few roads that you may travel in our area that do not have antique shops on them. In virtually every town, you will find some unique store to explore and some treasure to take home with you. (Brochures are available in our office)

Woodbury Commons Premium Outlet Mall

The world's largest collection of designer outlets is located just 40 miles from the campground. Features 200 stores - Chanel, Donna Karan, Giorgio Armani, Nike, Gap, Polo Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Waterford, Wedgwood and more. Buy designer but pay discount.

Orchards

Stop by a roadside farm stand or a "u-pick" orchard to sample the Hudson Valley's seasonal. From the early asparagus and strawberries of June through the apples and pumpkins of October, taste and enjoy the harvest. Don't forget to try the Grade A maple syrup!

Lifelong home of Franklin D. Roosevelt, our country's 32nd President. The grounds include the first Presidential library and museum, his grave site and the Rose Garden.

Learn about the school's importance and role in shaping the history of our country. See tributes to many of America's great leaders (all once cadets at West Point) and view one of the most breathtaking vistas in the world, the magnificent Hudson Valley. Tours depart from the Visitor's Center.

Winery

America's Oldest Winery

The Hudson Valley is fortunate to have a variety of famous and well noted wineries, the Brotherhood Winery being America's oldest. Wine cellar tours, a gift shop village, and special events are some of their highlights. They are also a member of the Shawangunk Wine Trail.

Hudson Valley / Shawangunk Mountain

Fondly known as the "Gunks," these mountains continue to draw thrill-seekers, wanderers and romantics as spectacular views of cliffs and towers unfold along the narrow trails.
