At the Newburgh/New York City North KOA you can set your own pace. Cool off in one of 2 pools. Challenge family and friends to a game of mini-golf. Rent a bike for an evening cruise. Join in one of the many daily planned activities on the campground from craft projects to a ride on a fire truck to live music.

Explore the Hudson Valley by hiking the white cliffs of the Shawangunks
Fondly known as the "Gunks", these mountains continue to draw thrill-seekers, wanderers and romantics as spectacular views of cliffs and towers unfold along the narrow trails.

Stop by a roadside farm stand or a "u-pick" orchard
Sample the seasonal produce that the rich Hudson Valley fields offer. From the early asparagus and strawberries of June through the apples and pumpkins of October, taste and enjoy the harvest. But its not only the fresh produce that New York State is famous for, its also high quality Grade A maple syrup that can only be made through the evaporation of pure maple sap. Fine wines from our vineyards are reminiscent of the valleys of Europe.

Shop ‘til you drop!
You’ll know its true when you visit the world’s largest collection of designer outlets at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlet Mall located just 40 miles from the campground. With 200 stores including Chanel, Donna Karan, Giorgio Armani, Nike, Gap, Polo Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Waterford, Wedgwood and more, you can buy designer but pay discount.

And then there's the Big Apple -- New York City!
Take a sightseeing tour that leaves directly from the campground to see all those places that you’ve always just read about. First stop is the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. Enjoy strolling around Liberty Island, enjoying the city skyline or touring the museum. From the ferry, you will also have the opportunity to see Ellis Island. Back on land, the tour continues with a drive through lower Manhattan. Lunch is on your own at the South Street Seaport, where you can choose from a variety of authentic New York cuisine and enjoy great views of the harbor and the Brooklyn Bridge. After lunch, the tour continues uptown with a narrated drive through some of the world’s most famous neighborhoods and districts. You’ll see Fifth Avenue, China Town, the garment district, Central Park and Rockefeller Center. Take an elevator ride to the 86th floor observation deck of the Empire State Building. Finally, enjoy the sights and sounds of Broadway and Times Square with a great Coney hot dog or a slice of New York Cheesecake. Every day is different in New York City and your knowledgeable tour escort will ensure that you get the most out of your trip to the Big Apple. Mid May to Mid October. Reservations Required.

Go antique hunting!
There are very few roads that you may travel in our area that do not have antique shops on them. In virtually every town, you will find some unique store to explore and some treasure to take home with you. Brochures are available in our office.

Local Golf Courses!

Apple Greens Golf Course (18 holes, par 71, Pro Shop, driving range, carts available); 845-883-5500. Both courses are located within a half hour of the KOA.
